i genuinely wonder how someone can look at this situation and come away with the conclusion that the boycott and the protests are what’s “sucking the fun out of the game.”

that feels like focusing entirely on the consequence while overlooking the cause.

many have said this before, but removing valko does affect the main story many of those who complained about a 6th li care about!
the love stories may be separate, but the main story revolves around mc, and so all of the love interests exist within that same narrative.

we’ve already seen that they’re aware of one another:
- mephisto appears while mc is with xavier (foils!)
- mc’s grandma says zayne should come and visit while eating lunch with her and caleb (again, foils!)
rafayel’s part in the ms will inevitably lack something the others have if valko is removed, because they’re each other’s foil.

and this is if we only wanna consider the lis in the main story, because if we want to think about the ms itself, valko is an important character in it, being eoncore tech’s ceo.

so when i see people say that the boycott is what’s ruining their enjoyment of the game, i honestly struggle to understand that perspective….

plus, a group of players spread rumors, misinformation, and misinterpretations that ultimately contributed to a main character being cancelled shortly before his planned release.
how can the rightful protests be considered the problem, but not the situation that made those protests necessary in the first place?
