I came here with the explicit idea that we need to change a few things in the Constitution to not 'accidentally' centralize ourselves again.

The Drep Voting Mechanism that we have is pretty amazing and highly decentralized and yet the Constitution - if done wrongly - could result in a scenario where all this decentralized voting does not matter because e.g. all treasury withdrawals have to go through a central entity in order to be paid out.

This is something we have to prevent at all costs in my opinion.

My biggest point was to completely remove the need for an 'Administrator' to handle and oversee the treasury withdrawal process and instead use the current Treasury Withdrawal Mechanism handled via Smart Contract based on the dReps decisions.

Unfortunately, even though I brought up the topic twice, it did not get put up for a vote for the Delegates.

Instead, we changed the number of 'Administrators' needed from 1 to 2, which is not enough in my opinion.

The only good part there is that an 'Administrator' could technically also be a Smart Contract, so my hope is that someone will propose a Budget Withdrawal Process that does not require the money to be withdrawn by a central entity (or 2) but instead is managed by a Smart Contract that acts as the 'Administrator'.

Besides that I believe we did make some big strides with changes like e.g. not allowing the 'Administrator' to stake the ADA they've withdrawn from the Treasury.

I think we're getting there, and in the end, no one will be 100% happy but I guess thats just what democracy and compromises are about.
