HPCL would like to clarify that fuel supplies across Pune remain stable and uninterrupted, with continuous replenishment and monitoring being maintained across the retail network.

In compliance with directions issued by the District Administration, HPCL retail outlets are not dispensing fuel in open containers or in containers that do not conform to PESO safety norms.

Exceptions are being made only for essential emergency services, wherein fuel is supplied after informing the District Administration and obtaining the necessary concurrence, wherever applicable.

These measures are being implemented to prevent misuse, hoarding, black marketing, and unsafe handling of petroleum products while ensuring uninterrupted fuel availability for genuine consumers.

Customers are requested to cooperate with outlet staff and local authorities and not rely on rumours or unverified social media reports.

With reference to reports regarding cross-border fuel diversion along the Uttar Pradesh–Nepal border due to the significant price difference in fuel between the two countries, HPCL would like to clarify that District Administrations and concerned authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

The District Administration has issued advisories for retail outlets located near border areas directing that fuel be dispensed only into vehicle fuel tanks and prescribing quantity-related norms for various categories of vehicles and jerry cans/open containers. The advisory further provides for strict action in case of any violations.

All HPCL retail outlets in the concerned areas are fully complying with the directions issued by the District Administration.

Further, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), in coordination with local administration and border security agencies, have established appropriate monitoring and supply mechanisms to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability for genuine consumers while preventing misuse, diversion, hoarding, and black marketing.

Fuel supplies across the region continue to remain stable and uninterrupted with continuous replenishment and monitoring being maintained across the retail network.

Customers are requested to cooperate with outlet staff and authorities during verification procedures and not rely on rumours or unverified social media reports.

Question - Gurudev, Why do we chant ‘Om’ three times?

@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - Om is made of 3 syllables ‘Aa’, ‘Uu’, ‘M’. That is why we chant 3 times. You can say that it is for the lower body, middle body and upper body, like we do three stage pranayama.

If we do it 4 times, even then you will ask me why 4 times? If you want you can do it 4 times. Whenever you choose a number there need not be any reason for it. You want to do it 5 times, you can do it.

Question - Gurudev, how to handle emotions? Even when doing sadhana and seva, sometimes negative emotions come up and disturb me a lot. I am unable to find a solution.

@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - Have you noticed that it is already much lesser than before? (Answer: Yes, substantially less, around 60%) That is a good thing. Does it give you hope that it will become lesser and lesser as you continue? That is your answer!

Question - Gurudev, I am a YES student (@ArtofLiving Course for School Kids). My school syllabus is very vast. I do not manage to retain much on the exam day. Can you suggest what to do to increase the capacity of my mind?

Gurudev Sri Sri - Relax! Listen to music. Do something creative. A few minutes of silence and a nature walk will help. Observing the nature is good.

Question - Gurudev, I have read in one of your book, ‘God Loves Fun’, that we should not try to possess what we love. Does that also mean that we should not marry the one we love? Is marriage also possession?

@Gurudev Sri Sri - I never said that! Choice is yours and blessing is mine. Whether before marriage or after marriage, if you are too possessive then the other person will run away. Trying to control somebody, possess somebody may not be a very intelligent idea.

Question - Gurudev, if what we see and hear is not the truth and yet our mind experiences life and the world only through our senses. So if 99.9% of all our actions are based on wrong view, what is the use of partaking in any actions?

@Gurudev Sri Sri - Even that action is also not real. Whatever action you do is also not real. If everything is not real then not just your thought but your action is also unreal.

Q: Gurudev, Can married couples also attain enlightenment?

@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar - See, the example of Ramakrishna Paramahamsaji. He was married, Sharada Devi was his wife. There are many such examples like this. So even couples can attain enlightenment. Enlightenment is not something that just drops from somewhere. It is present in all of us.

Q: Gurudev, If the purpose of life is to attain liberation, is there any value for all the time we spend on our education, profession and career?

@Gurudev Sri Sri - Each one has its own place. You need to do both. To make a living, u need to work, and to grow on the spiritual path, u need to meditate. Both go together, they do not oppose each other.

Often, we think that only when we leave everything will we be able to meditate here, that is not the case. We see many people who have left everything and sit here, but they take up something else to occupy their mind.

It is not necessary that u have to leave everything, and then meditate. If u have taken up some responsibility, fulfill it.

Question - Gurudev, What is enlightenment? How does a regular person find out if someone is enlightened?

@Gurudev Sri Sri - It cannot be said in words, it has to be felt. You cannot describe love. You can’t say that love is endorphins or oxytocin getting produced in your body, it is something that only the heart can know; ur existence can feel something different. The funniest thing is that it is in everybody, it is in the original nature of our being and everybody has it, but it has not been uncovered.

Question - Gurudev, We are all on the path towards enlightenment. If we do not achieve it this lifetime, do we pick up from where we left off?

@Gurudev Sri Sri - Yes, correct.

Question - Gurudev, How long should I meditate to get enlightened?

@Gurudev Sri Sri - There is no limit. Time will do it. Your job is to keep the window open, but time will bring the sunlight in. You can’t make sunlight come into ur home just because u have opened the window. You can’t say, “I opened the window, but the sunlight has not come yet.” If you keep ur shutters on, even if the sun has risen, u will remain in darkness. So ur effort is needed.

With reference to reports regarding fuel availability in Shankargarh area of Surguja district, HPCL would like to clarify that HPCL does not have any retail outlet located in the concerned Shankargarh area.

The outlet referred to in the matter belongs to BPCL. As informed locally, the concerned BPCL dealer has been facing financial constraints, due to which intermittent dry-out situations have been observed at the outlet. However, replenishment load has already been dispatched by BPCL today and is expected to reach the outlet by evening.

HPCL’s nearest outlet, M/s Nilendra Petroleum, located approximately 10 kilometres from the concerned outlet, is presently operating normally with sufficient stock availability of Petrol (MS) and Diesel (HSD).

HPCL teams continue to closely monitor stock positions and ensure uninterrupted fuel availability across the region.

Customers are requested not to rely on rumours or unverified social media reports.
