@AdhadhuMV@vichalhey Why is the UK showing double standards? They didn't address what happened in Gaza, but they are concerned about a police raid on a media outlet.
Where was the concern and outrage when the very same media targeted and abused the rights of the underage son of the president? Where was the standards of commonwealth then? And where is their standards when the media attacked the First Lady with outrageous slander day after day ? Are Women’s rights not a part of commonwealth standards? Or is it only for the reserved few? Is protecting the rights of children and women no longer a priority nor a critical element for a healthy democracy ? Or is it also no longer a part of commonwealth’s standards?
And let’s be clear: this is a 100% Islamic country. In Islam, defamation and Qazf قذف (falsely accusing someone of adultery or sexual immorality without clear proof) are strictly prohibited. Such actions are not just unethical, it is alien to the democracy we all seek.
As predicted, PNC won the majority. It is disappointing that we lost in some cities. However, this is not a reflection of government policy, but rather a failure in campaign execution and local team management. InshaAllah, with this experience, PNC will step up even stronger.
“The Maldives has condemned the attacks on Iran as clear violations of sovereignty and international law they must stop immediately. We stand firmly with Palestine, reject Israel, and will never accept attacks on Muslim nations.
The Maldives will not allow its territory to be used in any war and remains committed to peace. While we are open to diplomatic engagement, our position on this conflict is clear and unwavering”

⚡🇮🇷 JUST IN: Iran's Foreign Affairs Minister Abbas Araghchi has responded to the joint statement condemning Iran over the Strait of Hormuz.
22 countries. All Western allies. All arming Israel. All bombing Yemen. All invading Iraq. All blockading Gaza. And now they want to lecture Iran about international law?
When Iran defends its waters, it's called aggression. When the US blocks Iranian oil, it's called sanctions. When Israel bombs Iranian soil, it's called self-defense.
The hypocrisy is the point. The list is long. The shame is longer. Iran isn't intimidated. The world isn't fooled.
