This court and these laws just need to be seen as a tool in the media/diplomatic war/war of morale against Israel.
Beyond that, we already know that Israel needs to be stopped at all costs and a prov measure alone would not have forced a ceasefire anyways.

2/Israeli academic institutions contribute to ongoing colonial violence and violations of Palestinian rights, including military-sponsored programs, developing and promoting weapons, and suppressing criticism against Israeli policies.

1/ Israel has systematically destroyed every university in the Gaza Strip over the past 109 days. Meanwhile, Israeli universities participate in militarism.

This is so important. Language is inherently political and directly contributes to broader social processes. The language we use is absolutely critical in upholding or dismantling power and oppression - so reclaiming, being intentional with, or challenging language is resistance
I am really picky when it comes to language. I try to be as precise & clear as possible. Call me a compulsive writer but as a Palestinian who has the world against me, there is so much weight on my shoulders to rightly promote our cause & challenge Zionist lies.
‘Saving’ Global South/Muslim women no longer serves here to justify the West’s siege. They don’t need it. Instead, they’re relying on another side of orientalist constructions of Palestinian, Muslim, Arab peoples: that their men are dangerous and need to be controlled/eradicated
After the war on Afghanistan, Prof. Lila Abulughod wrote a book named “Do Muslim women need saving”. Indeed many western feminists justified that war to save Afghan wmn. How about Palestinian women, aren’t women enough? Why are they being killed by Israeli and US
The CBC intentionally uses the colonial tactic of manipulating language to legitimize power and dominance. And yet, they consider themselves to be ‘fair’ and ‘balanced’
CBC is well aware it uses sanitized language to describe Israel's killing of Gazans.
They actually believe it's justified because Israel kills people "remotely" instead of face-to-face.
We have an email from a CBC manager saying so: @TheBreachMedia

“Palestine alone is not the compass; Palestine's armed resistance is. Where you stand on the resistance reveals the depth of your humanity. So raise the standard, and normalize the inalienable right of Palestinians to resist by any means necessary.” (https://t.co/gBYfvWCe3s)
Zigi's (Afolabi) life was tragically cut short on New Year's Eve when he was murdered by the Winnipeg Police Department. This incident has left a deep scar in our hearts... He wanted to make his family proud. Sign petition. Demand accountability for Black international students.
Also the “protecting our borders” discourse is ridiculous. Indigenous feminists would neverrr. People of the land protect the LAND. No borders. No walls.
Today, the 75th day of this aggression on the 75th year of the occupation, our people continue to bear witness to the brutality that is Zionism. But empires are most brutal when they are gasping for air. We are closer to victory than we have ever been.
Post 9/11 racist caricatures that have constructed Muslims as the irrational other are falling apart. As we can see, so many in the global south have a deep understanding of imperialism and are ready to reignite the types of anti-colonial movements we saw in the 20th century. God bless the people of Yemen.
