🚨 HALO: CAMPAIGN EVOLVED — my take after finishing co-op

Faithful remake of the OG that hooked me in 2001. Played on PS5 Pro with friends and it clicks for real reasons:

✅ Original assets remade with real care, the game looks great

✅ Gunplay still feels amazing, movement is top notch

✅ Co-op is packed with genuinely funny moments

✅ Vehicles are challenging but the good kind, never felt like I was fighting the controls AND the Covenant

✅ Story is simple but effective, exactly what it needed to be

⚠️ Only real drawback: noticeable frame rate drops in large fights. Hopefully patched soon.

🚨 Ex-PlayStation boss says the industry needs more than bigger GTA and COD
Shawn Layden (former Sony Interactive Entertainment global boss) laid out where he thinks gaming needs to grow:

✅ GTA 6 will hit "with great force and power" but won't win over people who already don't care about gaming
✅ Genre variety is narrowing — zombie games, space marine shooters, sword-and-dragon RPGs
✅ Gaming pulls in $220-250B but has less cultural reach than music, which makes way less money
✅ Industry keeps re-monetizing the same players instead of bringing in new ones
✅ Wants devs "in different places" — namechecked wanting to see games made in Uruguay and Bulgaria
✅ Bottom line: growth means more people making games, not just bigger AAA releases

@IGN $399 for a Switch 2 is actually solid if you've been holding out. New customer code deals like this rarely stick around long, worth jumping on fast.

@IGN Wild that this is even a legal fight. If tariffs bump the price after purchase that should be on Nintendo to eat, not the customer who already paid full price. This is coming from someone who has worked in Supply Chain.
