I vaguely remember the same thing happened fron a facility in North Mayo, Ireland.
The dogs were released and rehomed through a number of charities throughout the country.

Woodpecker adores people and other dogs. He absolutely loves cuddles, car trips, walks and also likes a swim.

He is perfect on the lead and off, toilet trained and just the sweetest, kindest dog. He does like to sleep on his humans bed at night.

A group of 6 comfort dogs from @K9ComfortDogs arrived in Minneapolis yesterday in the wake of a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School that left 2 children dead and 18 others injured, including 3 adults. The organization deploys comfort dogs from around the country following tragic events. Unfortunately, you’ve probably seen their incredible work before. When the dogs arrived, they took their place outside the school, wearing their "please pet me" vests, and offered love and support to anyone who needed it. 15/10 for all
