Same scenario for cyclists... Age 18 traditionally go to live in Europe joining teams there.. Like an apprenticeship.. Season is 8 months long Feb to Sept ish.. Can't do it now.. No foreign team will take a cyclist for 90 days @DaveRaynerFund

Nightmare begins. Trip to andorra because of the 90 day europe rule. Originally Lyon to Toulouse train but a train fire = cancelled and a detour to Paris, ride through Paris then Toulouse to Ax Les Thermes and a taxi to Andorra 🙄 @DaveRaynerFund

Not much training after illness but managed to hold on to the main bunch for 89/92km, only tired after being behind a crash then to chase back to the group🙂 Crashes were common and the weather was on shuffle. In my team 3 crashed & 2 broken bikes but are ok 🇫🇷@DaveRaynerFund

Racing my first DN2 coupe de france in Morteau was a good experience however felt ill, with an emergency trip to get antibiotics the next week, riding with an gland infection that I was still getting over in Domsure. Now for some time to recover and into training. @DaveRaynerFund
