A country that has been bombing its way into existence for 76 years might want to take a moment and consider if there’s perhaps another way to exist—one that doesn’t involve relentlessly bombing everyone and everything around it.

As a result of the failure to stop the genocide in Gaza, the genocide has now expanded to Lebanon. Once again, on live TV, entire cities and villages are being bombed and decimated, with hundreds killed every day. Lebanon is experiencing the largest internal displacement in its history. I've seen posts from Lebanese accounts, rightfully asking: where is the outrage? And they are right. We are witnessing a full-scale assault on a sovereign Arab country, with its capital under attack and its civilian population being indiscriminately targeted. "Outrage fatigue" is not an acceptable response, and it's shameful that some claim to have reached it. How can one speak of fatigue while Gaza's doctors, nurses, and journalists are working tirelessly, nonstop? How can you feel despair while millions of people don’t even have the luxury to experience it—where life is a daily fight for survival?

As Palestinians, we owe a debt to Lebanon and its people. And as people of conscience, it is our duty to continue resisting this genocidal agenda, in Gaza, in Lebanon, and anywhere that entire populations are being punished and murdered by war criminals just for saying "no" to oppression and injustice.
