The GNU has mastered an impressive skill: finding money for the consequences of failure, while never finding money to prevent the failure itself.
Now taxpayers are expected to foot a R600 million bill so government can manage the public anger it helped create.
Fix the problem. Stop budgeting for the backlash @SAPoliceService.

To further facilitate trade and investment between China and Africa, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has designated Standard Bank South Africa and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) as Joint RMB Clearing Banks for Africa, serving as the central hub for RMB-denominated financial services across the continent. This will provide robust financial support for cross-border infrastructure connectivity, seamless trade, and deeper financial integration between China and Africa, while establishing a solid cross-border RMB payment channel for Chinese and African enterprises engaged in economic and trade cooperation.
Congratulations to Bafana Bafana and all South Africans on a memorable victory and qualification for the FIFA World Cup knockout stage!
A proud moment for South African football and a testament to the team's great talent, determination, resilience and belief!
A Gentle Reminder:
Presidents, Ministers, Members of Parliament, Councillors and all public representatives are your servants. They exist solely to represent your interests as citizens. We are your “leaders” simply because you elected us to be in positions of authority. Truth of the matter is, the ultimate leaders in a society are the people.
The people delegate their power to a few to be in decision making bodies like Municipal Councils and Parliament. That doesn’t change the fact that the people in these positions are given power by the people and must exercise that public power in a manner that advances the interests of the people and must always be answerable to the public.
When we go to the elections in November, remember to vote for your SERVANTS. Do not vote for BOSSES that do not sympathise with your struggles and view something as a problem only when it affects them personally.
Eskom CEO Dan Marokane is against the plan by cyril ramaphosa to privatize Eskom before the end of his term in office. The streets are calling patriots!!!🤔
We must all be very worried about what is happening in @ParliamentofRSA.
The Speaker obtained a legal opinion from a law firm in Cape Town on whether to oppose the application to interdict the Impeachment Committee. The opinion clearly stated that she had a constitutional obligation to challenge Cyril Ramaphosa’s application. Yet she did the opposite, she chose not to oppose and instead said she would abide by the court’s decision.
Then, when serious public outrage emerged, including calls for her removal from the process, a second legal opinion suddenly appeared a week later, claiming that her decision to abide was correct.
A legal opinion after the fact.
Guess which law firm gave this advice? Dr Mathews Phosa’s law firm, Phosa Loots Inc Attorneys. The former @MYANC Treasurer-General. Former Premier deployed by the ANC in Mpumalanga. And we think this is normal?
This is madness.
It also explains why the Speaker’s media engagement with @TheRealClementM on @Radio702 was so difficult to follow and all over the place. She didn’t want to admin that she got a second opinion from Dr Phosa, of the ANC. That interview is a scene of crime.
Modimo. I did say, this Speaker, with facade of sophistication and competence, is actually worse.
We still maintain, land should only be owned by South Africans and foreigners must only lease land.
The country hasn’t correct the land ownership patterns from the pre democratic period.
Out of respect and diplomatic protocol, we don’t make comments on South Africa’s relations with other countries. Likewise, we oppose envoys of other countries publicly commenting on relations between China and South Africa.
