There are two ways to learn from knowledgeable people: to work directly with them or to read what they have written. The first option is the best, yet it is often impossible to do. If we look at the software engineering world, there are many gems, but I will recommend the best books per area of work. These books will help you become good at specific technology and a great software engineer overall.

lateinit var and val by lazy{} are both used to handle late initialization in Kotlin.

The key difference is in the way they behave: one throws an exception if not initialized before use, while the other initializes on first use.
