Dear TVK supporters,

You ask why the DMK speaks about language, federalism and Tamil identity when people are worried about jobs, corruption, education and the cost of living.

The real question is: who told you these issues are separate?

When Tamil Nadu fights against NEET, it is fighting for students.

When the DMK fights for state rights, it is fighting for its rightful share of funds.

When the DMK fights against Hindi imposition, it is fighting for equal opportunity in education and employment.

When the DMK questions the Union Government, it is questioning policies that directly affect the livelihoods of Tamil Nadu's people.

Governance and ideology do not exist in separate boxes. One shapes the other.

Nobody is worried that Thiruvalluvar's words will disappear.

People are asking why there is a constant effort to repaint every historical figure through the RSS ideological lens.

RSS's ideological project begins by reinterpreting icons and altering history.

Their objective was never to change his words.

Their objective is to change the lens through which future generations read those words.

They alter symbols to influence how future generations understand the past.

You say people voted for governance.

Exactly.

That is why governments must build schools and hospitals, create jobs, improve infrastructure, strengthen law and order, and protect the rights of the state at the same time.

No government gets to abandon one responsibility in the name of another.

And most importantly a government needs to take accountability and not keep shifting the blame onto history (typical RSS pattern).

And please spare us the lecture that "Tamil is strong and needs no protection."

Tamil survived because generations before us refused to stay silent and even lost their lives whenever it was undermined.

Every right we enjoy today exists because someone chose to speak up when others said, "This is not the time."

The Dravidian movement never viewed social justice, language rights, federalism, education and economic development as competing priorities.

It pursued all of them together.

If speaking for Tamil, defending state rights and demanding social justice makes some people uncomfortable, that is their ignorance.

Tamil Nadu did not become what it is today because people kept quiet.

It became what it is because people refused to.
