i love this album -- underappreciated late 80s singer songwriter who goes very artsy and conceptual with ambitious structures and ideas for one album, unfortunately doesn't sell well, and has to go back to more straightforward pop afterwards. deserves more love
@egemago i don't tend to think in terms of tracks that often but i really love the first song lΓ‘grima del sol, it just introduces and sets the tone for the album so well, probably my fav. i love the creative percussion as well on songs like libra and la gallina degollada!!
@windymoors_ i do plan to do a more thorough dive into cocteau twins later!! i usually try to stick to 2 or 3 albums from an artist at a time so i can really get understand those first and not spread myself too thin, but if i like them a lot i'll go back and check out more
@windymoors_ i love their last two albums + mark hollis self titled, and i especially like as they get sparser over time, but i was very happy to learn i love them when they're still in a more pop direction, and it was cool to hear the way his voice and creative choices fit into that genre
fantastic, perfectly walks the line between simple and creative. similar to dolly mixture and psychocandy, but clicked with me in a way that those didn't quite manage to
@gruelmuncher very brag worthy, that's awesome!! i saw him once as well but i was pretty young and my memory is bad so i barely remember what songs he played ;-; i was excited when i saw that album + divorce lawyers on your topster aha (+ lots more i like a lot)
