The Tuition and Functional Fees Waiver is a Scholarship Scheme that supports 40 bright female students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds joining Makerere University who meet the criteria to access education.

Makerere University has clarified that, despite recent media reports, it remains highly ranked by international agencies.
The University said that according to the latest Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR), it is ranked 13th in Africa and 912th globally, maintaining its position as Uganda’s leading university.
It added that EduRank places Makerere 7th in Africa and among the top 5% of universities worldwide, with particular recognition in Health Sciences research.
The University reassured stakeholders, partners, alumni, students, and the public that it continues to excel in teaching, learning, and research, and has regained its international reputation as a leader in collaborative research with significant impact on the Sustainable Development Goals. @Educ_SportsUg@Makerere
