True story: Someone brought a prescription to the pharmacy for a nose piercing & asked if insurance covers it. Sure! Bring a prescription for your wedding dress next time & we’ll check on that too. Maybe the honeymoon’s covered under the ICD code “stress relief”? 😆 🤣 😂

U come to the pharmacy to pick up your Rx but can't even spell your name correctly that you have been using it for a solid 33 years! How am I supposed to find it in the system if you only spell out z easy names like 'Smith' but leave out to spell the harder ones like 'xymeq'? 🤣

You told your Dr to send an Rx at Pharmacy X, but you showed up at pharmacy Y & bothering me to call your Dr while your discharge paper on your hand says it was sent to pharmacy X! 😠 Instead of picking up the Rx across the street, you called me to transfer 3× & waste our time ⏲️

You just came from an urgent care next door & waiting in line to pick up your meds at the pharmacy & it's not even 2 minutes since you left the office 😒 Even the fastest fast good takes minutes to have ready your junk food you ordered online. You argue, "the Dr. Just sent it!"

RPh: The Dr's office needs to call the insurance to pay for it.
Pt.: But the Dr already approved it.
RPh: You want to pay?
Pt.: Brought coupon
RPh: The coupon brought the price down to $987
Pt.: disappeared 😲

RPh: Your Dr should get approval from your insurance to be covered & filled.

RPh: That too needs a PA

A single tablet of drug X acquired by a chain e.g. $0.77 but sold for a cash patient for $11.99! An $11.22 profit margin, which is 1122%! People, never pay cash even if you are uninsured, underinsured or in some kind of 🍩 hole! Use discount cards! Check the prices before 💳 💸

"Give '2.3647' mL by mouth 3 times a day." How does the parent of a child supposed to measure this much amount of antibiotic? Providers, there is such a thing called 'rounding up/down' so parents wouldn't bambard the pharmacy with multiple phone calls to figure out what to do!

Why would a grandparent wants to test the DNA of grandson 'to know' whether the child belongs to his far away son? If the grandparent checked and found out the DNA test result shows a different dad, is he going to call his son & tell him, "son, this child ain't your?" So weird!

Voicemail prescriptions/orders left for the pharmacist to fill them must be BANNED! Horrible enunciation, incomprehensible provider and caller names, missing key prescription elements, bad pronunciation of meds confusing w sound-alikes, so many things to mention that are wrong!

A lady asked if we carry Adderall as she was "just diagnosed with ADHA at 79!" While rolling her eyes 👀 Was she mocking her diagnosis, the doctor or ADHD? IDK!

It ISN'T easy to get ahold of the providers either. It isn't funny when a patient said my orthopedic Dr ordered Ketorolac for my arthritis, cardio Dr ordered Aspirin for my heart & my pain mangmt Dr ordered Naproxen for my back pain! What happened to medication reconciliation?

There is so much disconnect in the healthcare system. Why a patient is prescribed the 3rd NSAID but not told either to switch, stop, alternate, or whatever to the other two NSAIDS when everyone knows these NSAIDS aren't good for geriatrics. 😔

Prescribers must know what they are doing or else ask! You sent an Rx for a dexcom sensor but none for transmitter/reader? Especially how a new patient is supposed to use just the sensor? Likewise, sending only for test strips but none for lancets/monitor? Do your job properly!

You leave a voice message order with a name that can't be guessed by any means! "I'm Dr. Xhydckuwtf Dikjbgde & and I am calling in a new prescription for..." I prefer your NPI or DEA for controlled substances and keep your ridiculous name to yourself, please!

Telemedicine doctors send in rxs from anywhere in the universe, and their phone number rarely work or end up being picked up by a bee farmer or a shoe shiner at the airport! Are these your part-time jobs? 😆 🤣

How is the integrity of an unscored tablet (metformin) can be maintained when a patient was directed to cut it up this way and take it while tapering up? Now, many eScripts come with dosage/units (250 milligrams) on top of the number of form e.g tab creating extended sig.
