For over twenty years London Studio has been home to some exceptionally talented and wonderful people in the games industry. As we close the doors, and all go forward to new adventures, we wanted to say a heartfelt thank you, to all our past and present, players and colleagues who have supported us over the years. We’ve had one wild and wonderful journey! 👋💙
@babagahnoosh I think the desire to enter a virtual world and be a hero there is ever-present. The approach taken with WoW might be dated, but that player fantasy isn't. Developers now just need to figure out what that looks like in 2023 - and beyond.
@kchironis So many of us have game industry careers like this. I've spent years in pre-production on various games over the years only to have it go up in smoke, like it never existed.

I spoke to 12 former Fullbright employees about a toxic culture that hindered a bright, talented team. It's not explicit sexism and harassment, but shows how microaggressions and employee mistreatment can break down a group a people. Their story:

Thinking of all of you, #ActiBlizzWalkout friends. Everyone in the game industry deserves an inclusive, equitable and safe workplace. Thank you for your courage and action today 💙💙💙
Be honest with yourself if you actually care:
Are you sure you’ve never told a sexist joke?
Did you speak up last time someone told one?
How many stories of coworkers do you know “flirting” with female coworkers?
Are you SURE you’ve never made a female colleague uncomfortable?
Activision Blizzard employees are staging a walkout in protest of the official handling of the discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuit the company is facing, as well as calling for improvements in working conditions for employees.

To all of the current and former employees participating in the Activision Blizzard walkout for equality on Wednesday, you have my full support and I wish I could be there with you. #ActiBlizzWalkout
@ChrisMetzen Being an asshole from time to time is problematic. The thing is... he was an asshole 100% of the time to me, on the quest team. This behavior was always accepted / supported by leadership. It was so clear to me at the time: Alex was protected, and I wasn't.
We are very excited to finally be able to share that Genera Games has been acquired by Scopely, one of the biggest mobile gaming companies in the world, to take our studio Genjoy and our puzzle games to the top of the charts!
Congratulation to the team, you made it possible!
