Sometimes, when we desire to see God move in a situation we look, or listen, for something huge or booming, but I love these verse in 1 Kings 19.
The prophet Elijah had gone into a cave to spend the night and the Lord came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” The still small voice of God requires a stillness in us, an observant and discerning heart, and reminds us we can wait with a hopeful expectation that we will hear from Him.

May this also be our heart, that we know all we have is the Lord’s. May God test our heart and take pleasure in uprightness... not perfection, not piety, not self-righteousness or pride, but in honest seeking of the Lord, repentance, and of keeping His commandments. ♥️
