@zachklein I live outside a big city, in a single house. There are nearby such "middle zone" settlements. They basically mix the flaws of living in a city (small apartments, noise, crowded public spaces) with the flaws of living in countryside (bad infrastructure, long commuting times).
@lauriewired@mvidia84853 Yes, but those exotic materials attribute to just a few % better efficiency. They count in competition between a few global level champions, but they mean nothing for everyday cyclists or even for people like me who go on long distance rebels in their free time.
@quick777777@HenMazzig They were young people from many places in the world, simply having fun. They were innocent. They didn't occupy any land, they didn't hurt anyone. They were murdered by thugs for no reason.
IntelliJ Scala Plugin 2026.1.20 is out!🚀
In this minor bug-fix release, we've fixed:
- Reopening Bazel projects (no more “No Scala SDK” errors)
- Rerunning failed tests in WSL
- The resolution of Scala 3 typeclass derivation from libraries
@metaburbia I don't ignore it. I simply point out that you jump to conclusions too fast. Like creationists claiming that since we have stories about floods then there had to be one global flood at one specific time.
@metaburbia@FlintDibble They do not "almost certainly gave rise to the stories". Such a connection is beyond what we can deduce from the evidence.
There were many kings, tribes, conflicts, and sieges. "Iliad" could have been inspired by any of them, and more than one, from different places and times.
@matej_cerny Also, it's practically impossible to compare two surveys - they're not professional opinion polls and each is made under different conditions.
