Our discussion centred on the growing convergence between physical commodity trade and the financial and maritime infrastructure now being built around it.

Trafigura operates across oil, petroleum products, metals, minerals, gas and power, with one of the world’s largest commodity shipping fleets.

Their recent expansion into gold and silver adds another layer of alignment with Dubai’s position as the world’s leading physical gold hub.

With the launch of the DMCC Maritime Centre and @dmccfinx , we are connecting shipping, logistics, trade finance, risk management and capital within a single integrated platform.

As the 2nd Zimbabwean President to grace @DMCCAuthority in a decade, following the late Robert Mugabe’s #2014 visit to Dubai Diamond Exchange at the Almas Tower , incumbent leader Emmerson Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa found time during the @WorldGovSummit to meet with @DMCCAuthority COO, @FeryalAhmadi , and executive director of free zone, Ahmed Hamza, at our headquarters the @UptownDubai .

In #2023, bilateral trade between UAE and Zimbabwe breached the $3bn mark, with Zimbabwe’s primary exports including precious stones, pearls, tobacco, fruit and nuts.
