I know Australians are doing it tough. Families are competing with hundreds of people for rental accommodation. Patients are stuck in ambulances because there are not enough hospital beds. Young Australians are being locked out of home ownership while wages and infrastructure fail to keep up, Senator Hanson said.

The Labor-Liberal political cartel has sacrificed Australian living standards to serve vested interests demanding continued mass migration. Under Labor, the number of temporary visa holders has surged from 2 million in 2022 to roughly 3 million in 2026.

A larger economy on paper means nothing if Australians are poorer per person and cannot afford a home, find a hospital bed or get ahead. A larger economic pie doesn’t mean anything if individual Australians’ slice of it is getting smaller.

One Nation’s plan will return the temporary migrant population to around 2017 levels and the international student population to 2015 levels. Over the three years net overseas migration will be net-negative. Following this, One Nation’s net overseas migration ceiling of 130,000 per year would remain in place.

We will crack down on illegal migrant employment, cutting off illicit income and encouraging departures. Illegal migrants will be given three-months to leave Australia. Those who depart will be allowed to apply for a visa in the future. Those who remain unlawfully after this period will be subject to immigration enforcement and a lifetime ban from re-entering Australia.

Tinkering around the edges will not fix the damage. This is about giving Australians breathing space by drastically cutting the stock of temporary migrants, restoring control and making sure migration serves Australia

Vested interests and elite economists will shriek at the prospect of these cuts. But Canada has shown you can cut migrant numbers, take pressure off rents and still grow the economy.

Universities will still be able to enrol more than 100,000 international students per year. Universities that provide accommodation for their international students will get priority for these places. Our new high-value postgraduate study visa will also help attract the world’s brightest minds in science, engineering and medical research, giving Australia the talent we need to compete and returning universities to their proper role as research institutions rather than visa factories.

The temporary skilled migration program will remain available and be driven by employer demand. One Nation will maintain the existing seasonal worker programs, such as PALM and the working holiday maker program. Employers will still be able to sponsor skilled migrants, but temporary skilled migration will no longer operate as a sham family migration pathway.

One Nation’s previously announced policy to pause new migration from countries the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade rates ‘do not travel’ because of terrorism or other extreme security risks will continue to apply. The use of taxpayer-funded legal aid for visa appeals will also stop.

We will take back control of who comes here and how many we accept, train more Australians, restore living standards and put the safety and security of Australians first.

I genuinely want to know whether anyone reporting on the Digital Duty of Care Act has actually read the studies they reference in their reporting.

I looked into them, and they are either bunk or do not show what is being claimed. The “23 minutes” result comes from an experiment involving a tiny sample of ten fake accounts, some deliberately trained to consume “manosphere” content. It didn’t even study ten boys, let alone demonstrate that an algorithm turned them into misogynists, particularly given how loose the study’s definition of misogyny was.

Meanwhile, some of the largest studies of the supposed YouTube radicalisation pipeline found precisely the opposite of the popular “rabbit hole” story.

At some point journalists are going to have to do more than quote an activist quoting a study and read the thing themselves. Better yet, ask the activists and politicians citing these studies whether they have even read them.

Basically the Australian Government funds the activists who artificially create the justification for their policies which are then amplified by journalists who are also paid for by grant programs, then the majority of people who agree with these positions are being paid by the government to work in the public service or in adjacent government funded roles like the NDIS. It's one giant circular economy, paid for by the taxes of the minority of Australians who actually produce things.

Labor is copying the Chinese Communist Party’s censorship playbook.

China learned long ago that you don’t need to censor every citizen, you just need to create a culture of fear and make the platforms do it for you.

These tactics have been used by authoritarian regimes across the world to gag their political opponents time and time again.

The powers will make sure social media companies feel the only option is to over-censor.

The Minister and e-Safety Commissioner get open-ended power to classify anything as harmful.

Today that’s harm to children’s safety. But tomorrow these powers will be abused to censor complaints about immigration because they harm Labor’s version of “social cohesion”.

There are some issues on social media. But this can’t be an excuse to bring in a China-style censorship regime.

Social cohesion under Labor means sit down, shut up and don’t complain.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers wakes up everyday dreading the next social media post he makes because he knows he’ll be smashed by thousands of comments calling out Labor Lies.

Minister Wells complains that Australians don’t believe her after Labor’s Lies.

Senior public servants being paid more than the Prime Minister are complaining about their embarrassing answers being shared on social media.

This is a government that hates transparency and hates being accountable to the Australian public.

Labor hates Australians having the ability to voice their disagreement on social media.

After losing a safe Labor seat in the Secret Harbour by-election, the government is desperately trying to censor the internet to keep their jobs and their grip on power.

Labor knows they can’t win the debate, so they’re changing the rules and making social media companies gag you.

Tonight, One Nation voted against Labor’s outrageous CGT tax discount for foreign investors backing “swindle factories”.

This year’s Labor Budget stripped the same CGT concessions from Australians and Australian businesses.

Labor’s actions are to give foreign-backed developers tax breaks, while Australians pay more.

When the final vote was called, the Liberals voted with Labor, and Nationals were absent from the chamber.

There are genuine social problems associated with social media. But the answer is not giving a government like this the machinery to decide what is misinformation, what is dangerous and what Australians should be allowed to see, say and share.

Australia should be moving away from government censorship, not building the Orwellian machinery for it.

China does it. Iran does it. Russia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Myanmar do it.

Meanwhile, DCCEEW records also disclosed $283,976 for Mr Bowen’s trip to Bonn, Germany, for a booking at Living Hotel Kanzler for just six days from June 7 to 12.

The Daily Telegraph revealed last month Mr Bowen slugged taxpayers more than $340,000 to travel the world to spruik his net-zero ambitions, spending an ­average of $7500 a day on travel across a grand total of 46 days abroad.

This morning Labor Minister Matt Thistlethwaite defended Albanese and Chalmers calling One Nation “dangerous” and a “threat”, saying they were “telling the truth” and that “it’s legitimate to raise that”.

An hour later this picture was taken in Bendigo alongside a video-game character that blows itself up like a suicide bomber.

The standard you walk past is the standard you accept. Labor has a problem with language that invites political violence against their opposition.
