About to celebrate my first Christmas in 30 years without my Grandpa. And the second without Grandma. Telling myself they have the best view of all. My heart hurts.
Can someone tell me how it’s been a year today since my Grandma died and how my Grandpa died three days ago and how life is supposed to go on without them as part of my world?
As much as I wish I was in a different spot in life (married with kiddos), I’m also thankful I’m right where I’m at. I would not be able to help care for my grandparents in the capacity that I am if I was in a different spot. ❤️ ❤️
It has been a rough month of navigating health issues for my Grandma. Had a bit of a trigger yesterday, eating in hosp. cafeteria & although a different one, the last time I ate in a hosp. cafeteria was the day my other Grandma died in Sept. Oof. Deep breaths & baby steps onward.
I saw “A Man Named Otto” tonight with my boyfriend. I am unwell. I bawled through the whole thing. We didn’t know what we were in for. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s going to take me 3-4 business days to recover. Needs trigger warnings: suicide, grief, loss….probably more.
Things that have made me cry in the past 36 hours
1) Free Fallin’ 🎶- how many times have I heard this song? At least 100? Yesterday it made me sob.
2) The Queen’s dogs being present at her funeral today 😭😭😭😭😭
