@cupcakemichimu@burritomonad@hankgreen again, i dont wanna buy an AC to use for 3 weeks a year, that need to be connected to windows that are 1. not really compatible and 2. gonna be so ugly. i can sit in front of fan when im home.
@burritomonad@hankgreen And in 5-10 years I probably won't be living in this apartment, so I'll get the AC at that point if it turns out to be necessary. The thing is, as it is now, I really don't need an AC... And also most of my complaints with heat is outside and I can't have an AC outside
@hankgreen Newer buildings are build to keep the heat out in the summer, or if more fancy, with some sort of central climate control. But many people live in older buildings.. Like the apartment complex I live in didn't even have toilets originally...
@hankgreen No one here is truly anti AC, we need it for work spaces etc. But no one wanna invest in it for their apartment when it's needed 1-3 weeks a year
@imsoprettyylike probably because people on this site are talking about their personal experiences being from those areas. Like I get where you're coming from, but its easily explainable why it's the way it is
@MisterJ831@piperocktheory no, im taking a doylist look at this, because if the CGI was good no one would be arguing it should be bad because the animals were aliens... everything you say about their tech rn is stuff you made up based on what little we know of their tech based on the movie.
@MisterJ831@piperocktheory Because they clearly got cool technology. Saying the reason the cgi is bad is because their tech sucks, is kinda lame, sorry
@MisterJ831@piperocktheory That makes no sense. If I was an adult seeing that cardinal bird fly into my home in the uncanny cgi fashion it did I would be concerned. The aliens can be invisible, I think they can muster making a realistic animal. You're grasping at straws for a reason for bad CGI
