We can confirm that Ross Daly has announced his retirement from football.
A non league West Yorkshire legend, Ross has been an influential figure within a dressing room wherever he has played and that was no change with Liversedge. A fantastic non league career littered with promotions and success, Ross has been a huge player for Liversedge over numerous spells especially last season where he played his part in our champion winning season in the North East Counties Premier League.
Manager Danny Forrest commented โIโve been fortunate to work with Ross a couple of times through my coaching career. But my only regret is that I wish we could have worked together for longer.
He was my first phone call when I was given the managerโs role at Liversedge and he turned out to be what I consider our most important signing for the 25/26 season.
Absolutely top drawer on and off the pitch, he was a great example to everyone in our changing room.
Ross goes with our full respect and best wishes in retirement and the door will be left open for him should he ever want to be involved with us againโ
He will be a huge loss in our dressing room, we are so grateful to have had him and weโd like to wish Ross all the best in his retirement. Ross will be welcomed with open arms anytime he wishes to return to Clayborn to cheer on the lads.
