My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.
Bridge to a Sustainable Future🌿🌅
From June 19-21, Sungrow will bridge to Munich at Intersolar 2024. We showcase our latest renewable energy solutions at booths B3.310 & B3.410, Messe München in Munich, Germany.
Let’s work together towards a cleaner, greener future!
For my sahoor, I had the option to choose between a white soggy Oryza Glaberrima pudding, submersed in a green slimy baobab soup, alias 'Tuwo' and a nicely cooked spaghetti. I didn't choose the spaghetti!🥴
I respect STEM graduates for the brainpower required to master their disciplines, but when it comes to achieving high grades, they often enjoy more advantages. It's less common to find students in social sciences, humanities, and law attaining near-perfect CGPAs compared to their counterparts in STEM.
In STEM, demonstrating that 2 + 2 equals 4 in an exam leaves little room for disagreement, even with the most critical lecturer. However, the same cannot be said for qualitative programmes, where lecturers may critique answers as too short or long, poorly argued, or off point, leaving students with no choice but to succumb to the sentiment.
Protesting unfair grading in interpretation-based modules is also more challenging, as even your vocabulary can be used as a criterion to undermine your approach to questions. Lecturers often have unclear expectations and policies, making it difficult for students to navigate.
In my case, the only instances I challenged unfair grades as a social science student were in multiple-choice questions. In a particular module, I had 28/30 in the CA, and a few of us were certain we had more than 50/70 in the exam because they were quite familiar questions. I got a B in the module, which I thought was impossible. We wrote the department to get our scripts reviewed and re-assessed, and the protest lingered so long that we ended up in the VC's office.
Reluctantly, the lecturer admitted there must have been a mix-up when the VC intervened, but the portal had already been closed for rectifying grades, and we had to wait for the end of another semester's exam cycle. The lecturer even said we had a decent CGPA, and that why were we bothering about a B that wouldn't affect our classes of degree, while many had earned lower grades? The grade was never rectified.
Come on musty! Are you really believing this superstition? How come we've never seen a picture or video of the empty flat surface trending on SM, considering how it's trending?

Musings on male-female relationships
I know there is a boundary between girls and boys, men and women, especially in our (Hausa/Fulani) socio-centric culture. However, please, teach your kids and wards to say “please”, “thank you”, and “sorry” to either gender without any second thought. Being nice is different from being in love.
I can be – and I am – friendly to many women in my life. I've female colleagues, classmates, neighbours, students, etc. However, doing that doesn’t mean I love all of them. It’s just impossible.
You also don’t have to be rude to let the other person realise that you aren’t in love with them. Tell them plainly, albeit kindly, if your body language doesn’t alert them. And then maintain your neighbourly, professional, school or social media relationship.
Best wishes,
Muhsin
