“What's wrong with you lately? You seem to be checked out and not yourself.”
Me: I'm grieving a life I thought I would have, battling stuff that no one knows about, and craving a future that I don't think exists for me, so yeah I'm pretty checked out. I'm fine though.
I want that fairytale love. The type of love that you see on the movies. That black love, that 90's love like an R&B song. That easy like a Sunday morning love.
I hate when people tell me "there's always someone out there who has it worse," how does that help me? Because someone else have a bigger problem does that make my own problem go away?
Don't discredit my feelings or whatever I'm going through please.
This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for the people who truly stood by me this year the ones who carried me through my darkest days and celebrated my brightest moments. The ones who showed up, answered every time, and had my back without hesitation. Thank you for being my people.
