Younger people aren’t getting as sucked into drinking culture as we were, so what needs to happen now is also investment in local coffee shops, creative hubs and third spaces. Being working class means so much more than sitting around the pub.
Add a tourist tax to the rents in gentrified areas, so when Londoners move up to start their next new gimmick coffee shop venture, the public actually benefit from it in some way.
It's actually this that signals the death of creativity, not AI. The sneering gatekeepers of the ruling class, funneling their friends and children into positions of cultural production.
Absolutely fucking embarrassing how people see this granny biscuit as a substitute for a national identity. Oh was there irn bru? Stick a cone on a statues head 🤣🤣🤣 fuck off
The way Scotland is portrayed as Whisky, Tunnock teacakes, irn bru is actually quite offensive btw. We pretty much invented everything and you have this shite.
British media's stance is apparently:
"uni grads are middle-class perma-students who dont understand the 'real' world...except oxbridge grads, all salt-of-the-earth working class kids who did well and should rule uk media / politics forever"
