With all of us coping with a very different world at the moment, the natural world can be an immense help in distracting us, offering a glimpse of beauty even on a short exercise walk. https://t.co/evvW371ESX

@SryBirdNews Short-eared owl still on Papercourt Meadows, 6pm 15/3. It had a go at the barn owl which was sitting on its usual fence post, sneaked up on it and almost seemed to push it off! Too dark for photos sadly.
My latest blog, on the lovely River Wey. Hopefully I've captured a little of its magic. @NTRiverWey, @RiverWeyTrust, @FarncombeBoats,

@SryBirdNews 16/12, short-eared owl patrolling the area between Papercourt Lock, Woking Palace and the Tannery, crossing the Wey regularly opposite the Tannery. Most active between 1pm and 2pm ish. Barn owl out early, 2.30pmish, perhaps it knows its got competition now.
A couple of weeks ago, I was very lucky to enjoy a magical paddle in Chichester Harbour. On the vast mudflats out in the harbour, a colony of seals has made its home, and they were kind enough to let us in as guests. @chichesterharbo, @wildlifetrusts https://t.co/WgqDGhyVbf
Last weekend, three of us headed for one of the wildest parts of Wales, the Rhinogydd hills of Snowdonia. This is the tale of a wonderful weekend in rugged country. https://t.co/d9KTXpEoO1 @visitingsnowdonia, #rhinogs, #rhinogydd, #snowdonia, #wildcamp
Instead of stopping at an anonymous and expensive motorway services, why not turn a long journey into a little exploration of our beautiful countryside?
