The chicks are now four weeks old. Z3A is a female and the other three are males. Z3A should be the largest but the effect of perspective makes the assessment of relative size tricky in this clip. The chicks will remain in the nest for approximately two more weeks.

Until now, the chicks have been moving around by shuffling on their heels but this clip shows that they have reached the next stage. The chick nearest the camera, which looks like the female, is now able to support its own bodyweight and take proper steps.
