So this is weird #SEO#GSC - is Google just inventing URLs to try to crawl? To my knowledge, none of these have ever existed on the client site, much less been linked to or put into a sitemap. Anyone seen this?
@darth_na 12k impressions of 24 #fragmented URLs - yeah, G are ignoring them, BUT STILL INCLUDING THEM IN REPORTS. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling that GSC has got significantly shitter in the last couple of years.
@OpenMindMH Doesn't sound malicious - more lazy and clumsy, failing to target ad audiences. Take (a tiny bit of) comfort in the fact that they're wasting ad spend on trying to engage inappropriate audiences. But your example is horrible, and companies (esp in this field) should take care
@Hobo_Web Shaun, I'm just going through your notes on this again β completely matches our client's experience βΒ and we're now in for a rematch with a stack of pages in 'the canonical void' (which is a magnificent phrase, and one that I will use at any opportunity). Really irritating.
See, I want to read the new books from @gavinesler and @mrjamesob but I'm concerned that they'll just feed my already unbalanced confirmation bias... or maybe, just maybe I don't hate the Tories quite enough just yet...
