@VollBird @wonderparlour The UK has declined a lot over the last 30+ years. Towns are unrecognisable. Family owned bakeries have been replaced by Greggs. It's genuinely hard to find nice cafes and restaurants now.

@fadlynoers @scratchthatout Wrong. It is the "pirates" that bring in fans to the franchises which ultimately lead to people then buying stuff etc. Western Publishers also look at what's popular on pirate sites to buy licenses to then officially translate the media (mangas and LNs)
