Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) are the most developed, safest, most technologically advanced, and prosperous countries in the world. They make much of the USA look like a third world shithole. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Ask people who have actually been there, or visit yourself.

Look up Riyadh, Dubai, Doha, and Kuwait City, the downtowns, skyscrapers, infrastructure, roads, airports, and everything else.

And by the way, did you know that about 15% of people living in Qatar are Christian?
Around 13% in the Emirates (UAE), and between 2.1 to 3.5 million Christians live in Saudi Arabia, roughly 4% of the population.

I know exactly where people like you get your information. From the same sources that profit from spreading hatred and the stigmatization of an entire religion, presenting themselves as your sole “ally” and the only “developed” country in a supposedly hostile region of fanatics and camel-riding terrorists.

Most Jews left Muslim-majority countries after 1948.

My statement was about the well-documented history of Jews and Muslims living together in peace for centuries. Growing up, my grandfather used to tell me stories of how he and his neighbors hid their Jewish friends, dressing them like family members when Nazi Germany occupied the French colonies in North Africa to protect them when soldiers came asking questions and demanding they wear the yellow Star of David to “identify” them.

My father, may he rest in peace, told me how his Jewish neighbors would ask him to light their stove during Shabbat, then share a piece of challah, some candy, or even a movie ticket in gratitude. That there was a lot of mutual respect and camaraderie between Muslims, Jewish, and Christian italian and Maltese living in his neighbourhood. And that’s during the 1950ies.

My message is one of love, acceptance, and unity, a reminder that coexistence is not only possible, but part of our shared history, regardless of religious differences.
