exactly my point this people think they are superior and ask this type of questions deliberately.. this was a trade deal india was not there to beg it was a mutual understanding and obviously norway will also get benefits from the deal so how did she have this much audacity to ask this question and that too a prime minister .... now we have huge doubt and i request our prime minister @narendramodi how can we trust this people ? ....
This must be thoroughly investigated. In the name of so-called “free journalism,” this woman appears to have deliberately pushed narratives capable of damaging diplomatic trust and sabotaging relations between two nations. Journalism is not a license to spread reckless propaganda, manipulate perceptions, or inflame international tensions for personal, political, or ideological agendas. If these actions were intentional, there must be accountability and strict scrutiny of the motives, funding, and networks behind such conduct.#socalledfreejournalist #norwayjournalist
The superiority complex is unbelievable. Imagine asking, “Why should Norway trust India?” as if international trade is some charity program.
Trade deals are based on mutual understanding and mutual benefit — not one country sitting on a throne judging the other. India is not standing in a queue begging for approval.
Respect goes both ways. If Norway gains access to one of the world’s largest markets, India also evaluates whether Norway is worth trusting as a long-term partner.
Diplomacy works between equals, not through this outdated “we’ll decide who is worthy” mindset. @HelleLyngSvends
Free media? More like agenda-driven media in some cases.
Why should Norway “trust” India? India is one of the world’s biggest markets and economies — the real question is why India should trust you. Trade deals are never one-sided. If India benefits, Norway benefits too.
Please stop acting like only one side matters. No country enters a trade agreement without mutual gain.
Be respectful, and India will respect you too.
Also, appreciation to the MEA for handling these questions professionally and responding in a proper and balanced manner. And yes, this criticism is for certain sections of the media, not everyone.
Being part of the media does not mean you can question any Prime Minister in an inappropriate manner. There are proper diplomatic channels, protocols, and basic standards of conduct that journalists should understand before asking such questions.
Obviously, not every question deserves a response, especially when it appears provocative rather than professional.
People often talk about “number one free media,” but every country has topics that receive cautious or selective coverage — whether it is immigration, NATO, the monarchy, or elite-related scandals. No media ecosystem is completely free from influence or sensitivity.
Professionalism and mutual respect matter in journalism too.
