Since I graduated, one of my key (un)learning has been that some of the smartest people I’ve come across aren’t the ones who went to Ivy colleges and now work at McKinsey, but the hustlers who have the system stacked against them and find ways to climb up through sheer grit.
Thrilled to announce my graduation from the Aga Khan University, MBBS Class of 2023. A journey of dedication, growth, and gratitude. Excited to contribute globally through the knowledge gained. @akuglobal
For those who attended grad school, has it been worth it for your career trajectory? How?
Today, would you make the decision to do your grad school program all over again? Pls share views!!

@aliza_sukhera I enjoyed the read because she came across as complex, contradictory at times, and with opinions that I can agree or disagree with. It makes you think about how you feel about these issues beyond the Western lens.
@aliza_sukhera This was a brilliant read. The author does a great job, I agree. But my question is why are we idolising her in the first place? Her talks and books have been so impactful, but why should I think that she's beyond any contradictory thoughts like the rest of us?
To achieve anything BIG, one has to take risks, be willing to fail. That’s more worthy of one’s potential & its due to society than playing it safe. For the sake of progress, let’s learn to celebrate failure. Thank you @usmangul for daring to dream and the rich learnings #airlift
My heart goes out to everyone working hard in the Pakistani tech ecosystem
Airlift raised a monster Series B ($85M) & was the poster child for the burgeoning Pak startup scene
I ~really~ hope their failure is taken in context & not as a reflection on the entire ecosystem
Throw your 10-year plan in the trash:
When I look at the people in my network who are on top, most have embraced pivots, chance, and randomness.
They had a plan.
They had milestones.
They changed them when data (and qualitative feedback) suggested doing so.
