Boundaries create states. And states govern themselves.
If you as a person don’t have boundaries then you open yourself to being ruled by someone else.
Kentucky and Alaska don’t need the same things…
Godspeed
The phrase “smooth is fast” has a double meaning.
For most it’s another way of saying slow down and focus. Or quality over quantity.
In business it’s about reducing friction within various processes, such as removing unnecessary steps to decrease the time from input to output
It’s far easier to execute when you don’t have a choice. I’m not saying it’s pleasant…
Winners routinely practice burning the boat so that when they get on that island with no choice they know how to thrive physically and mentally.
No negotiations.
Subtle shifts make the biggest difference in the beginning
But to get those same results further down, you have to be a little bit more drastic
Take a step back really assess where you want to go or who you’re gonna be so you can make the shift earlier rather than later
The highest performing people in anything have coaches and teammates.
In all my years of winning championships, having quality in both areas has lead to my most rewarding experiences.
This has proven to be the same professionally as well.
Even coaches need coaches.
You will never break the mold if you don’t push the boundaries.
As a football player, this meant working really hard to jump higher and run faster all to gain an edge in a game of inches.
In business, this equates to innovation, building relationships, and resilience.
Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean it’s right.
But it does mean it has worked. And now you have to decide if the reason that it worked applies to you in your situation or not.
From there, you can make a decision.
More often then not it’s focus that is missing when we are evaluating why things do or don’t work.
Second to that is timing.
Fix timing with consistency. Fix focus by shaping environments and processes.
The money only matters when it’s combined with time.
A million today but you die tomorrow is a bad deal. When you have that realization, you start to view things differently.
With that in mind ask yourself… What have you been on the fence about lately?
I ask myself. Don’t you get tired of being
hard all the time?
I told myself no. If it wasn’t hard then that would mean God didn’t believe in me to get it done.
We use statistics to justify what God has done instead of using our faith to start expecting what God is going to do…
Fact of the matter is, until you use faith you’ll always be reacting instead of expecting and that is a tiring way to go about life. Have faith.
Comparison will have you sacrificing things you shouldn’t because you’re rushing
Want a million dollars? Work only. Don’t sleep. No hobbies.
All so you can get there and be too sick to enjoy any of it… it’s a trap ladies and gentlemen. Stay balanced.
You get about 30% of the results you want from 100% of the effort you give in your life.
That’s why it is hard to get the things you say you want, but that’s the beginning of deciding how much you’re willing to give to get.
Most people aren’t willing so they cheat or give up.
Sometimes it’s ok to leave room for people to add their own context…
There’s a lot of insight that can be gained from this…
It shows you how they naturally fill in the gaps…
You might even learn how they view you…
