A wise captain knows when to hang up his boots!
Without a doubt , N. Chandrasekharan has been one of India’s most inspiring captains of industry.
His stewardship of the Tata Group saw a phenomenal rise in its fortunes as he ambitiously dreamt big and expanded the group’s footprint in critical sectors of the economy.
But given the new leadership at the company’s helm has expressed discontentment with the group’s strategy thus far, it’s gracious and dignified of Chandrasekhar to make his exit.
Meanwhile India has to thank him for demonstrating that Indians can indeed reach for the stars!
N. Chandrasekaran pens his resignation note to Tata Sons, announcing he will not seek reappointment beyond February 20, 2027, and calls for an early succession decision to ensure a smooth transition and clarity of leadership for the Group

@dravidasishu@TVKVijayHQ@SingaiGR@AIADMKOfficial Once you stand on a party ticket and take the leader’s support as Ramachandran did with EPS, there should be moral compunctions in dumping someone who batted for you
This regrettable trend of political opportunism continuing in Tamil Nadu as CM Vijay @TVKVijayHQ is clearly getting stronger at the helm.
Singai Ramachandran @SingaiGR is one of the brightest faces in the @AIADMKOfficial, his political journey was supported by the late CM Jayalalithaa and former CM @EPSTamilNadu , both who were encouraged his rise in the party.
For him to defect is disappointing.
CM Joseph Vijay should be cautious in admitting such opportunist politicians because while useful in the short term these leaders are bound to jump off first if the ship sinks!
Met the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay @CMOTamilnadu , and joined Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam @TVKVijayHQ in his presence. I seek your support and blessings. 🙏
Now in New York and was surprised to see that JFK airport doesn’t even have travelators for passengers walking from the aero bridges to the arrivals. Passengers have to trudge quite a bit!
And we are always berating Indian airports which have at least attempted to upscale airport facilities.
This is amazing improvement for Delhi T1. I am not sure if it is feasible, but such terminals in India can consider carpeting (with those good for rolling luggage). It will seriously reduce the noise and make it pleasant for passengers.
For once I agree with you @SriramMadras. Kanimozhi @KanimozhiDMK is a fine politician and a good human being, with dignity and values. She represents the best in the DMK, possibly imbuing what she sees as values cherished by her father.
Spotlight on @KanimozhiDMK is the best @arivalayam can do in the present circumstances. As a seasoned parliamentarian, a gifted poet, and a leader with a fiercely independent political identity, she brings a rare intellectual weight and mass appeal to the party. Her strength lies not just in her sharp articulation and relentless advocacy for Tamil Nadu on national platforms, but in her widespread credibility that transcends factional lines. Elevating her voice is a powerful statement of a modern, inclusive, and forward-looking leadership that can connect effortlessly with every section of society. Well done @arivalayam
The misogynist & distasteful sniggering double entendre by the LoP @Udhaystalin directed against actor Trisha @trishtrashers for no fault of hers, dragging her name into a vulgar public interaction, leaves no doubt that the DMK leader must apologise publicly as soon as possible.
The below-the-belt & slanderous attacks on the Chief Minister @TVKVijayHQ have to stop immediately. The level of public discourse in our state has plunged to real lows.
Udhayanidhi apologising for double entendre remark would not merely be the right thing to do, but also send the message to legions of his followers and youth that apologies, when words slip, are also de rigeur in political discourse.

It’s tragic how our most cherished Marina Beach in Chennai, India’s longest natural urban beach, is also one of the most desecrated and sullied.
What does it take for us as citizens to reclaim our heritage from vainglorious politicians, encroachers and garbage dumpers? Really wish Chief Minister @TVKVijayHQ takes the clean up and the beautification of the Marina as a goal in his vision for Chennai’s development.
Look at the dump that Foreshore Estate has turned into! 👇
I would think it’s a case of having to grasp the nettle and shows Prime Minister @narendramodi’s sound strategic instincts. Had the Government not conceded in this battle, the war with Gen Z would have gotten nastier and taken many scalps.
“To ensure that anti-national forces do not exploit the situation arising at Jantar Mantar and across the country, that national unity remains intact, that no student’s future gets tangled in legal complexities, and that our children can focus their time on studying and building their careers—considering all these factors, I have submitted my resignation to the Honorable Prime Minister” said Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in his resignation letter to the Prime Minister.
It is a wise and honourable step that he’s taken, deferring to the widespread disillusionment with the integrity of the examination system & also ensuring the Modi Government doesn’t lose further ground on this incendiary issue.
It is incumbent on the student protesters to respond soberly to this climbdown by the Modi Government and acknowledge it is inherently a conciliatory gesture on the part of the Government.
I think wisdom has prevailed in the corridors of power and I for one think it’s courageous of the Prime Minister @narendramodi to have stepped down from the rigid stand that the Education Minister would not resign.
Today true democracy has won & both the student movement which was unwavering in its struggle & the Government which had the good sense to listen to the swell of anger amongst India’s youth, have emerged winners from this stand off.

As the student protests swell, clearly organic and spontaneous today, time seems to be running out for the Union Government to act swiftly and empathy towards the students whose anger is rising.
Would be good for the Prime
Minister @narendramodi or the Home Minister @AmitShah to come out publicly & offer a readiness for a dialogue at the highest level.
Despite all the restrictions on metro travel all through the day, it is turning out to be an even larger gathering at Jantar Mantar protest site today.
Jantar Mantar is full, Tolstoy is full, Sansad Marg is barricaded upto Connought place inner circle
