Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9
Growth is not just about reaching a destination, but about continually setting new goals and challenges for ourselves, and embracing the journey towards them.
"A covenant is a sacred promise. When we make a covenant with God, we promise to do our best to keep his commandments. In return, he promises to bless us and to help us return to his presence." (L. Tom Perry)
Remember, it's normal to feel resistance when it comes to tackling difficult tasks. The key is to find strategies that work for you to help overcome that resistance and get things done.
Faith is not about understanding the why, but about trusting in the what. It is about having the courage to take that first step, even when the road ahead is uncertain and the outcome is unknown.
Covenants, whether with ourselves or with others, give us the guidance and motivation we need to stay on track and achieve the things we want in life. They provide the necessary structure and support to help us overcome obstacles and reach our full potential.
The most effective way to achieve our goals is to make them a part of our daily routine and habits, rather than relying on sporadic bursts of motivation.
