@BloodyEvergreen unable to contain his joy. With a belly full of food, a clean body, and feeling safe inside the home, he couldn't help but feel happy.

He knew it wouldn't last but was going to enjoy this while he could.

@BloodyEvergreen When his stomach growled he dropped the bathing thing and picked his muzzle back up to where he had it. He'll find out more later.

He didn't use utensils, despite how hot it was, he used his fingers to pick out the meat and eat it. It was so good, it had his tail wagging a bit.

Briar went back into the house to go find the scissors. Once he did, it was back to the bathroom to cut a hole. He put the scissors back when he was dressed again.

@BloodyEvergreen He wrinkled his nose at the smell of the cigarette smoke. He's not used to it, but he's seen humans smoke before.

"How come humans do that?"

@BloodyEvergreen "The bottoms are a little hard to wear with my tail. But I put it in one of the legs."

That's the best he could do for now. He wasn't going to cut a hole into their pants.

"They're comfortable though."

After a few moments of silence he goes outside to join them, wearing the clothes he was given. He liked that there weren't any sleeves in the way of his hands.

"I feel a lot better. Thank you, Casey."

@BloodyEvergreen When he's finished, he gets up and shakes his hair and tail. The bathroom is gonna be a little wet for a bit... He takes the towel to wrap his body up in so that he can poke his head out the door. His hair was dripping water all over the place.

"I'm done!"

@BloodyEvergreen He might tell them, if they ask. Briar was careful not to get anything in his eyes as he washed up. He wasn't sure how much he was supposed to use. Casey might need to do some shopping later...

@BloodyEvergreen "Alright." He waits for them to leave then quickly gets up a moment later to poke his head out the door. "It's Brair, by the way!" He never told them his name.

Afterward, he shut the door and got to washing himself, just like Casey told him.

@BloodyEvergreen He watches as they explain, nodding along. It seemed simple enough.

"Got it. I think I can do that."

@BloodyEvergreen He took them and stared at them then at Casey. He didn't know what to do with them.

"If these make you smell like that, then it should be fine."

@BloodyEvergreen He didn't like hearing that he potentially could have gotten shot, but he does perk up again at being forgiven. He looked at the selection and shook his head.

"I've never seen any of that. Give me whatever you'd normally use."

@BloodyEvergreen He reached over and put his hand under the running water, giving a nod a moment later.

"That feels fine." When he pulled his hand away, his ears flattened against his head and his tail curled around him. He was feeling guilty. "I'm sorry I chased you when we first met."

@BloodyEvergreen He followed but stayed outside at first. He only came in when he peaked around the door frame and saw that it wasn't anything like what he was used to. He slowly walked over to the tub then sat down next to it.

"Fill it like the lake."

@BloodyEvergreen He bit the inside of his cheek as he stood there thinking. Eventually he dropped his arms and gave them a small nod.

"Okay." Maybe he could put a little of his trust in them.

@BloodyEvergreen "I.. never learned how. There's no soap in the wild.."

He lowered his head and crossed his arms, hugging himself, thinking back to the past. At least he wasn't turning tail and running.

"The handlers would wash me. Water, soap, water. The water always hurt."

@BloodyEvergreen His tail stopped the moment they mentioned the bath again. It tried going between his legs. He didn't like baths.

"I already took one outside.. in a river."

@BloodyEvergreen After he ate all his meat he ate the potatoes. He didn't seem to mind being watched by them. Briar licked his fingers clean after and got up to put his plate in the sink too.

"It was really good!" His tail wouldn't stop wagging.

@malinolf "Hose? No you can use the guest bathroom, there's plenty of shampoo and what ever else you may need."

They didn't push further on his muzzle, the first comment seemed enough to warrant leaving it be. They didn't need his life's story, they just needed him fed and clean.

Guess who's outside of where @BloodyEvergreen was staying? One might assume raccoons were getting into the trash bins. But no, it's Briar. Something in there smells good. He didn't think anyone was home.

@BloodyEvergreen "So you want me to hose myself down?" Confusion was written all over his face.

He let the muzzle drop and looked away for a moment. "I can't take it off. You don't smell safe. Besides, it's already dirty."

There's blood stains on the inside where it connects to his face.

@BloodyEvergreen Not from a human. He doesn't realize what Casey actually means. He stared down at the plate before unbuckling the bottom buckle of his muzzle.

He kept part of it on the bridge of his nose as he tilted it up.

@BloodyEvergreen He took a seat and removed his straitjacket, letting it fall behind him on the chair. He wasn't wearing a shirt under it. Freckles and scars littered his torso.

One of his ears twitched at the word bath. "I took one already." He said that kind of fast. He didn't want a bath. +
