bai lu's official farewell letter announcing that she has officially ended her 10-year journey with huanyu entertainment.

to everyone who has walked this journey with me, i want to sincerely say:

after ten years together, huanyu entertainment and i are now parting ways. like the completion of a full circle, we move forward with mutual respect, gratitude, and our best wishes for each other.

ten years have come to an end.

as i write these words, i'm filled with emotion. from a young girl who knew nothing and was uncertain about the future, to someone who has gradually found her place in this industry and had the chance to be recognized through one role after another—throughout this journey, the company has never simply been a "manager." it has been a companion that participated in every step with me and shared the responsibility for every outcome.

so at this moment, what i want to say most is: thank you.

thank you, mr. yu zheng, for giving a young girl who knew nothing the key to open the door to acting. ten years ago, that shy and timid girl never imagined she could come this far. thank you for believing in me when i wasn't even sure of myself. at my 10th anniversary fan meeting, when you and your family appeared in the audience, the nervousness i couldn't hide instantly turned into comfort. thank you for always supporting me like family.

thank you to huanyu entertainment, to sister le, ma jie, and every colleague who has worked with me over the past ten years. you've all worked incredibly hard. every drama, every adjustment in direction, every step forward—you were all involved. you gave me advice and trusted me, while also giving me room to grow. looking back, every attempt and every breakthrough was possible because of the company's support, trust, and protection, allowing me to focus on doing what i love most—acting.

lastly, thank you to all of you who have supported me along the way—my lovely, kind, and courageous lu rongs (bai lu's fans). some of you have known me since my very first drama, while others began following me because of a particular role. over these ten years, thank you for every meeting, every piece of feedback, every word of encouragement and support. you have helped me see myself more clearly at every stage. together, we've brought those imagined characters to life.

as for the future, i don't want to move forward with uncertainty—I want to embrace challenges with clarity. i'm willing to try new roles, new ways of expression, and a new rhythm. the courage to keep moving forward has been built little by little over these ten years. so in a way, this farewell is also a continuation.

A staff from the Koi photoshoot complimented #BaiLu on her professionalism

"A day working with BaiLu (a primary school essay version )

BaiLu's endorsed Koi TVC was released on Children's Day. Usually when adults says "happy collaboration", it can be a superficial thing. But as someone who was on set that day, and recalling the filming that was done on April 15, I had unexpectedly felt a genuine sincerity. The memories of working life was embodied in that moment.

She arrived early at 9:30am !

Filming starts at 10am in Shunyi. At 9:26, when all the staff were still busy preparing, someone suddenly announced: The artist will be arriving in 3 minutes. At 9:30, BaiLu walked in at the set entrance, not on time but arrived half an hour earlier to prepare. This shows that she respects her work and respects all staff.

Almost 15 shots all completed in one shot

Coming from the makeup room to the set, she enthusiastically greets everyone one by one. When the director shouted "action" , she immediately went into shooting mode. She was able to grasp what the director's shot and on how to use the props, and her facial expression and movements are exactly what we envisioned. Almost all 15 shots were completed in one shot. Watching from the backstage monitor, I could hear the brand's staff exclaiming repeatedly " So beautiful!!" "Those raw photos don't need any retouching"....made the job of those who need to choose pics much easier.

All work is done by 6:30pm.

BaiLu has wonderful work synergy with everyone and maximised the productivity. At 6:30pm, the director announced it was an early wrap up. A full hour ahead of a schedule! As far as I remember, to finish a TVC shooting earlier is a first for me.

It was too hot, take it off it quickly

After the shooting was done, we prepared a surprise for BaiLu. A Koi teddy bear mascot brought out a cart full load of blue roses. We thought she would go "wow so cute!" but she instead said to the mascot " Ian t it too hot ? Quickly take it off!" Throughout her whole interaction with the mascot , she kept a watchful eye on the mascot. After we're down with the shoot, she helped the teddy bear mascot to take off the huge headgear while repeatedly saying " quickly take it off, get out from it quickly, it's too stuffy inside". Her genuine sincerity were shown in small details. Our small surprise pales in comparison to her real expressions.

Goodbye, I'm taking the teddy bear home.

After everything was wrapped up, BaiLu said her goodbyes to every single one. I was standing quite hidden from her view but unexpectedly she came over to me, smiling and greeting me first and then saw me hugging a mini version of the teddy bear (it came out in the TVC) she even said goodbye to the little bear. Everyone was in adoration over this interaction and I said " Here, you can take it back home, it's yours" BaiLu replied "No, no, this is your prop" The brand rep insisted " it's ok, we have more !" Hearing this her eyes lit up with laughter and she was happily hugging the bear.

She really loves it.

On the day of the shooting, BaiLu chatted with me and blurted out "My favourite is the Golden Bubble Milk Tea" with emphasis on "Earl Grey Golden Bubble Milk Tea". The brand rep was surprised because this flavour is available at Koi Plus branches only. She really loves it.

Later, we got to know that BaiLu treated everyone to bubble milk tea. But since there were no nearby Koi stores around our location, she specially arranged for a delivery service to buy at the store and sent it over.... Although her announcement as brand ambassador came yesterday, she has already been performing her responsibility as an ambassador ever since agreeing to take on this endorsement.

We are so used to labeling days as to give them a special meaning. What I actually wanted to record down was just a normal working day. That day went by so fast and was pleasantly so.

Suitable for: All levels of learners

Shadowing means listening and speaking at the same time without pausing. The goal is to imitate a native speaker’s pronunciation, rhythm, intonation, and emotions as closely as possible.

How to practice:

1️⃣ Listen to a Chinese video without subtitles and repeat any words or phrases you can catch.

2️⃣ Watch it again and try to speak along immediately. Don’t worry about mistakes — just focus on speaking.

3️⃣ Turn on subtitles and make sure you understand the dialogue, including new vocabulary and useful expressions.

4️⃣ Watch again with subtitles and try to stay synchronized with the speaker while copying their pronunciation, rhythm, and intonation.

5️⃣ Repeat until you can follow the dialogue naturally.

6️⃣ Finally, turn subtitles off and shadow the audio in real time. Since you already understand the content, focus on sounding as close to the native speaker as possible.

💡 If the audio feels too fast, start at 0.6x–0.8x speed and gradually work your way up to normal speed.

Just 10–20 minutes a day can significantly improve listening comprehension, pronunciation, fluency, and speaking confidence.
