Not all men but a husband drugged & raped his wife for a decade. Not all men but 100 local men. Not all men but her neighbour, a nurse, police officer, and councillor. Not all men but thousands of men saw a post to rape her, not one man reported it. Stop telling us not all men.
2 things have happened in Gaza in the last 24 hours:
1) Israel killed 47 Palestinians
2) 6 Israeli hostages were found dead
As you reflect on why only one of these stories is dominating the headlines, there are 5 more things to keep in mind 🧵👇:
A group of pro-Israel billionaires have a WhatsApp group where they coordinate how to influence the US response to October 7, including pressuring Eric Adams to use the NYPD against Columbia students.
All this time it was Eric Adams who was in bed with outside agitators.
The irony.
This entire saga about Palestinians being “ungrateful” for the aid received has infuriated me like nothing else. I think it truly shows just how utterly devoid of basic human decency people are. They do not view Palestinians as humans worthy of anything, let alone dignity.
🇺🇸🇵🇸 Rachel Corrie a 23-year-old American peace activist was murdered by an Israeli soldier using a bulldozer in 2003. While trying to peacefully stop the demolition of Palestinian homes.

Researchers gave homeless people $750 per month for a year, no questions asked. The recipients spent the money on food, housing, transportation, clothing, and health care. And after six months, only 12% of those who received funds were still homeless.

I think it’s impossible for anyone who hasn’t lived under occupation as Palestinians have for over 50 years the infinite variety of daily humiliations and degradations they endure, which are meant to demonstrate their powerlessness in the face of Israeli military occupation.
The first Palestinian person I ever met was my junior year in Germany. He was a medical student named Nimr living on the floor of my apartment building, and for weeks, he wouldn’t talk to me. At one point I asked him why he wouldn’t talk to me, and he said because I was American.
We live in a world where my teenage daughter chose not to wear her goofy "too lit to quit" Hanukkah sweater, with flashing LEDs on the menorah. Her decision was not from fear of antisemitism. It was from the shame of being associated with Israeli genocide.
You should watch this whole 2 minutes and feel the enormity of what this man is trying to tell you. And then think about how in the US you are called antisemitic for wanting this horror to stop.
the booing perfectly captures the american desire to consume with no critical thought, to escape from anything that doesn’t coddle. attendees are upset at being confronted with the genocide our gov is financing/facilitating while AT a parade celebrating native american genocide
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose said that he himself "worked extensively" on drafting the ballot language for Ohio's reproductive rights amendment on the November ballot. It includes numerous inaccuracies and fails to mention contraception, fertility treatment, and others.
If Issue 1 is voted down, everything stays as it has been for 111 years, with a majority of Ohio voters deciding what happens with our Ohio Constitution.
Ohio citizens have proposed 71 amendments and voters have passed 19. That’s a 27% passage rate. Ohio voters are responsible.
