Through the introduction of the City Metro Transport Service, the Caleb Mutfwang administration has taken deliberate steps to improve urban mobility across the Jos-Bukuru metropolis. The initiative has not only created employment opportunities but has also significantly reduced transportation costs for thousands of residents.

With approximately 9,000 passengers benefiting from the service daily, the transport subsidy has translated into substantial monthly savings for commuters, easing the cost-of-living burden on many households.

Building on this success, the administration expanded the fleet with the addition of 15 brand-new buses, bringing the total number of operational buses to 30 and further strengthening access to safe, reliable, and affordable transportation.

This is governance that works,connecting communities, creating opportunities, and moving Plateau State forward.

Today, I had the honor of receiving Richard M. Mills Jr., the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, on a courtesy visit. He was accompanied by USAID Mission Director Melissa Jones and Senior Humanitarian Advisor for USAID Nigeria, Patrick Robin. It was an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties and explore avenues for impactful partnerships.

Our discussions centered on the strategic role USAID will play in advancing the Ministry's initiatives. We deliberated on funding opportunities and collaborations to upscale programs aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable populations and addressing pressing humanitarian challenges. This engagement underscores the importance of international cooperation in driving sustainable development.
