@PeterJBroad1 Radior seems to be a good pollen parent, more tricky to get it to seed itself but have some small plants already including another possible variegated one.
@PeterJBroad1 I sow as soon as the seed is set during summer and have had germination anywhere from 5 days onwards. Due to space I have saved only the best seedlings, either small, golden or variegated, but have stopped sowing the later seed which I will sow next year.
@PeterJBroad1 Thank you, I do hope it settles well and will keep posting it's progress. It is the better of five hopefuls and I intend to try similar crosses again next year.
@PeterJBroad1 I gave mine some fresh compost and they have a renewed vigour. The gold leaf & tri-colours are brighter than they have been for a month or two. My seedling of hope sown just three months ago is doing well still and remains small.!
@pellynut I don't recall seeing many bees either this year. I am still waiting for one of my favourite leaved plants to flower. I'll give it one more year. Butterfly, almost golden leaves.
