Look at Fulham’s 2nd goal again. There is no way it should go in. Wasn’t in the top bins. His starting position is hugging the near post when that angle is already covered by Ugarte.
Tell you what, Lammens stans. His starting position for all these goals is a couple of feet away from where he should be. We shouldn’t be conceding these goals when the near post is already covered by defenders. Yes he’s miles better than Onana and Bayindir, but he can improve.
I don’t want to be that guy, but if you look at it without emotion, Dorgu’s and Cunha’s goals were probably one in 50 attempts.
That level of individual brilliance isn’t going to win you games every week.
I’m genuinely curious to see how Michael Carrick handles smaller teams, especially since even Amorim beat big teams while having less possession.
@aditya_reds That’s a huge step you’re asking this team to take. I’d be happy with good entertaining football for now, against all these teams. Low blocks will be difficult to break down. Dismantling them is out of the question. Results will come.
Disappointed by Paul Scholes' response on Lisandro Martinez yet again. Not being willing to apologise even after being asked fair & honest questions about it makes the rest of his words in that segment hollow.
If they thought it was a joke, then apologise. Physically it's a mismatch? You were wrong, apologise. You 'probably shouldn't have done it', so apologise? The way you described it was disrespectful, so apologise.
Doubling down by saying 'he's had one good game as well' & pointing out errors he's made? You can say you hope he proves you wrong, but compliments sandwiched between insults are meaningless.
It isn't a few blokes having a laugh down at the pub. It's into microphones where it's reached millions of fans. Take that responsibility seriously. You want the club to succeed? Prove that, live those words.
Making excuses is piss poor. Manchester United players shouldn't expect blind support from ex-players in the media, but they do deserve a level of respect from them, as well as Scholes' own accountability.
If anything, it only proved people's criticism of Scholes & Butt correct this past week. Happy to dish it out but can't take a lick of what comes back their way. They should be glad they didn't play in the social media era.
Pathetic response from Nicky Butt & Paul Scholes, desperate for Lisandro Martínez to have one bad game so they can shout “we told you so.” Complaining about how hostile it was in their day, then piling pressure onto current players, it is pure hypocrisy.
If that’s the message Butt wants to send, it says far more about him than it ever will about Martínez. This was so easy this was to avoid. Admit you're wrong & move on. Instead they’ve doubled down, thrown their toys out the pram & exposed themselves.
Martínez is a World Cup winner, but these ex-players don’t want the club to succeed unless it aligns with their own ego. And Butt in particular, has obliterated his own credibility. Making sweeping statements making it clear they don't know the subject.
This from someone who once wanted to be United’s Director of Football, is laughable. United were right not to give him that job. Crying about free tickets while delivering agenda-driven talk isn’t serious football punditry - it’s just pathetic.
A couple of old men driven & defined by bitterness.
@MUFCScoop@goodbadftblpod They’ll just wait until Licha inevitably has a bad game and then throw the kitchen sink at him. “We told you so back then”. Just a rotten toxic cancerous pair of ex-players who’ll say and do anything for engagement and staying relevant.
@MUFCScoop Get #BoycottScholes#BoycottButt trending, my fellow loyal United fans. No one, no ex-player, no legend has the right to make a personal remark on our current players, and act this entitled and spoilt. These are not examples we want as legends of the club.

The fact that most fans are siding with Martinez, and rightly so, over one of the biggest legends the club has just shows how sick to death of Scholes’s bullshit fans are
Lisandro Martinez had the best possible response, letting his football do the talking before taking Erling Haaland out of his pocket & speaking publicly.
As pundits Scholes, Butt, Neville & Keane don't give a shit about the club. It suits them to be part of the story. Scholes response on Instagram proves this.
It would have been so simple to say he proved them wrong & they apologise etc.. yet here we are. Go figure.
@utdreport He is as bad a pundit as good he was as a player. No human element to apologize for what he said. Instead, he’s being cocky that Licha’s had “a good game”. No you rat, he’s played vs. Haaland 7 times now and Haaland has scored only in 1 match against him. Losing all respect.
Samuel Luckhurst is a dickhead & he's always been a dickhead. Manchester United can't stop him being a dickhead on social media, but they can cut off his access if he's going to leak team lineups before a derby. Don't allow him in press conferences & on club property.
Enough.
I can't wait for the show this week, lads.
You best start writing Lisandro Martinez an apology, he can watch it while he's taking Erling Haaland out of his pocket.
