@DrShayPhD May Christโs Light shine upon you and bring you consolation at this difficult time. May your nephew rest in the peace of Christ for all eternity. ๐๐ปโค๏ธ
Today, my wife and I formally consecrated our campaign to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
โPut on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.โ
Ephesians 6:11
@Nance726@MaxPowersb Also, they have openly opposed same-sex marriage and adoption, favoring what they consider the "traditional" nuclear family in spite of the fact that they are both gay/SSA.
@UcheMaryOkoli The best answer ever given was by a nun to a group of first graders, who asked if their pet was going to be in heaven, and the nun said if you need your pet in heaven, then God will make sure your pet is there for you. Thatโs true too.
Mehโฆ he was just a garden variety politician that went along with the flow of typical American BS. He had a few good things but mostly didnโt really do anything. I mean, I canโt name a thing he did except make it OK for boys to go in girls bathrooms. Thatโs hardly something to be proud of.
Hey CharlieSueโฆ. I hope you and your family are doing well. ๐๐ป
The Church isnโt conservative or liberal - itโs Catholic.
Since the time of St. Peter, the role of the Pope has always been to shepherd the whole Church in matters of faith and morals.
Scripture shows that St. Peter โwent here and there among them allโ (Acts 9:32), caring for the Church wherever it was.
The Popeโs job is to address moral issues everywhere, not just the ones we agree with. When it feels like heโs โpicking sides,โ itโs usually because weโre hearing it politically instead of hearing the whole Church.
P.S. Of course Donald Trump should apologize. He was rude. Nobody expects itโhe never does. I voted for him three times, so this isnโt partisan. Itโs basic decency. Thankfully, the Popeโs role stands far above the day-to-day political noise in the United States.
@BBMagaMom What about the people who are born into Islam?
Did your โpastorโ judge these people or is he Christian enough to say we need to communicate with them and share the gospel?
Big difference. ๐๐ป
The Torah is a covenant - a relationship - fulfilled in Christ.
It is not an โownerโs manual.โ
The Torah itself states:
โI will write my law upon their heartsโ (Jer 31:33). โI will sprinkle clean waterโฆ give a new heartโฆ put my Spirit within youโ (Ezek 36:25โ27).
The New and everlasting Covenant fulfills this:
Baptism (John 3:5; Titus 3:5).
Grace (2 Corinthians 3:3).
Eucharist (Malachi 1:11; Luke 22:20; John 6:53).
Thatโs not what happened.
No one was executed just for translating the Bible - those cases involved heresy, authority, and doctrine.
And before the printing press, there were no cheap, mass-produced Bibles. Most Christianโs couldnโt read, and a single hand-copied Bible could cost more than a yearโs wages.
There was nothing to โkeep from the people.โ
The Church is the reason Scripture even survived long enough for you to argue about it.

โDo not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.โ
Letโs pray for honest repentance. Without repentance and humility we invite judgment on ourselves.
