The Upstate Church Collective officially launched this month w/ 75 participants & coaches from 5 Upstate churches. We are equipping disciples for leadership in the local church while also raising up church planters & church revitalizers. Thankful for those on the journey with us.

Today the staff teams of @FellowshipGvl & @SummitUpstate are joining together for a day of prayer as both churches launch into studying thru Ephesians this Sunday. Sharing resources, communicators and encouragement. Church Partnership & Interdependence. It’s worth it.

If Scripture is true...that God is working all things together for His glory & our ultimate good...then there was a purpose for our 2020 & there is peace and rest for our 2021.

Thankful I picked up this book a few weeks ago. I can’t recommend it enough. It has refreshed my soul as 2020 comes to a close. Looking to faithfully & biblically navigate the in-between of life is painful yet God is sovereign...brokenness & hope...disappointment & trust? Lament.

Teaching @summitupstate thru James...this week includes James 1:19-20 “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” Wish I could think of practical application.

It’s ok to regularly ask the Holy Spirit to show us where we’re being defensive..needing to win the argument..needing approval of others..thinking we’re better/more right than others. The Spirit will remind us where our SUFFICIENCY & REST are found. Hint: None of those things.

To all the pastors going about the ministry of shepherding, encouraging, counseling, preparing & teaching those entrusted to you while not taking shots at others or hitting up social media about how difficult it all is....He sees...He hears...He knows...He is near...Keep going.

Interesting places I’ve worshiped w/ believers around the world...nightclub in Italy 🇮🇹, basement of a communist owned building in Ukraine 🇺🇦, former military base in Brazil 🇧🇷, orphanages in India 🇮🇳 & our church parking lot @SummitUpstate in the middle of July. Making Memories!

Your heart/mind/life will continually be filled with anxiousness and worry if you continue to only live content/thankful if you get what you want when you want it.
