Huge respect to Lewis for taking responsibility for the decisions he made during the race. It's a shame Ferrari don't do the same. Poor communication and pitting CL straight out in front of LH when they were on different strategies were also factors as to why a podium was lost.
Lewis Hamilton reflects on the Singapore Grand Prix:
āYesterday wasnāt the result we were looking for, and thatās on me. At a track thatās difficult to overtake you need to try something different, and I chose a strategy that ultimately didnāt deliver. Itās a painful lesson to learn, but I take full responsibility for the decisions I made. In this sport, not every call will work out. Itās about accepting when you get it wrong and how you move forward.ā
āIām grateful to the team for the work they put in every weekend. P6 doesnāt reflect the pace we had in the car, and despite the result there are positives to take away. Massive thanks to the fans in Singapore for the energy. Iāll continue to put the work in and come back fighting at the next race šøš¬āš¾ā
This is just costing Lewis time. The swap should have been done 5 laps ago and Lewis could be all over the back of the McLarens already. Lewis and Charles are both on different statagies...

š» | Sani: "We need more management in 10 and 18 for tyres and perfromance."

A yellow flag means slow down and be prepared to stop. It's clear he overtook Lewis under yellow flag conditions. This should 100% a 5 place grid penalty. Why was no penalty given? @fia
@DeejayLFC I think GR is still using the older engine, I don't think they've brought the upgraded engine yet so there could be more penalties later on in the year. From what I've heard though, KA is on the upgraded aero and GR is on the older version.
George should have had the penalty is Malaysia, he would have probably made it to the podium and not broken down. Instead he now has to take a penalty at a track which you can't really overtake.
George Russell is set to start from the back of the grid at Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix due to a power unit change in a further blow to his championship hopes š
Here's the Max moment in SQ1 that the stewards were looking at š
Decision - no penalty.

@DeejayLFC It's not impossible to overtake, and ofc there is a high chance of SC which provide opportunities. It's just Malaysia or COTA would have been a lot more suitable for making up places through the field compared with Singapore.
This track is incredible, and should absolutely be a permanent fixture on the calendar! It was fun to see it back for a one off and hopefully it'll be back again soon!!
Iām happy we got to see Sepang again in F1 , Iām glad fans that never got to see it witnessed it , thanks to Bahrain hopefully this will convince Malaysia and f1 to negotiate it back on the calendar
