AI is a tool that, coupled with robotics, completes the dream of the industrial revolution and removes the human from the manufacturing process. Removes the human from all work. Do we then return to the Garden of Eden? Perhaps not we but just two of us.
Learn web2 before #Web3 . I am constantly going over to web2 - HTML, JavaScript, React, Mocha - and then returning to web2 having to "revise" Solidity and smart contract dev once again. Start with a solid foundation in traditional web dev, and then move to the new game in town.
The best way to learn #AI is to apply it to something you already do. "AI" applies to so many domains and without specific focus means nothing - and causes anxiety. Use it for one thing and gain control over it.
JavaScript knowledge definitely helps with learning #Solidity . If not for the logic, although there is always that with any programming language, at least for the syntax.
In a way, the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) can be thought of as a type of operating system for the Ethereum blockchain. It provides a runtime environment for smart contracts, much like ASIC's for bitcoin, but software based.
A reminder to myself - Once I learn something, apply it. I just went through a lot of hardhat study and now I have to begin again in order to drive it all home.
#web3 dev with Hardhat in WSL is a must for Windows users. The only obstacle is the lack of a GUI - although there are solutions for this. With some practice though, navigation solely through the terminal, or VS Code becomes natural.
@dcinvestor Agreed. And this will be a shift in corporate finances and economics. A movement to a sovereign corporation. The control over product and service will be next level.
bitcoin hasn't been this exciting in years. People are actually starting to refer to the bitcoin network as a "Layer 1". I am once again optimistic on the future of bitcoin.
#Web3 dev becomes more and more real the further up the tech stack you go. Beginning in Remix with #Solidity and a VM, to MetaMask and a testnet, but when you start using ethers.js and interacting with a blockchain in real time, the reality of a blockchain becomes apparent.
The idea of "crypto-native gaming" seemingly goes against everything we've come to know about putting assets on chain. The rule has been to put as little as possible on chain to save time and money. It is a new era of gaming - one I still don't understand fully.
One of the reasons why true web3 gaming doesn't exist is because the finanacialization of so called web3 games still relies on web2 practices. The first real web3 games will have little to do with finance and most to do with player controlled gaming characters and worlds.
