Today is the 64th anniversary of our nation’s independence and it is a time for us to reflect on our nation’s journey.
It has been a path filled with challenges, victories, and many lessons learned. The obstacles we face are daunting but today, I want to remind us of the strength, resilience, and creativity that characterize Lagos and its people.
We are a community of over 20 million dreams, rich in culture, talent, and ambition. We are Nigeria’s brightest potential and its most dynamic spirit. That is why, despite the hurdles we encounter, I believe with unwavering faith that together, we can cultivate a Lagos and a Nigeria that realizes the aspirations of every citizen.
Today, I urge you to hold onto hope. Yes, our journey has been tough; the road ahead may seem uncertain. But we have a choice - the choice to embrace our power to drive change. I choose to have faith in you, the incredible people of Lagos and I want you to believe in yourselves, too.
Let us unite in purpose and believe that our brightest days are still ahead. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!
Together, we can and will succeed!

Although this is not the outcome we hoped for, Nigeria's journey to the AFCON finals has been one of courage and perseverance, a genuine pleasure to watch.
@NGSuperEagles keep your heads held high, knowing you've given your all.
The nation stands proud of your efforts.
That is "Nig£ri@ns" for you. My advice for you is to emulate Tinubu and forge ahead with your destiny, ignore these UP NEPA folks, once you perform better, they'll still hail you. They're fairweather.

In our relentless pursuit of transforming infrastructure, I will like to provide an update on our 18.75km Lekki Epe Expressway Road project.
On February 1, 2023, we commissioned phase one, giving the mandate of creating a world-class and long-lasting road to Messrs Craneburg Construction, which starts from Eleko to Epe T-Junction—ensuring a smoother commute for all.
Without missing a beat, we embarked on phase two, navigating a challenging stretch from Eleko junction to Abraham Adesanya. This isn't just about roads; it's about reshaping the landscape for a seamless experience.
To the resilient residents of Sangotedo, Ogidan, Abijo, Rainoil, and all along Lekki-Epe Expressway, your patience fuels our progress. Please, continue to bear with us as the project is getting to the end. We are promising not just roads but a transformative journey toward enhanced connectivity and convenience.
I will continue to provide updates even as we look forward to the completion of this project.
