It took some finding but a great visit to the recently reopened and award winning Vine, Pittshill in deepest North Stoke-on-Trent - a wonderful pub that’s takes you back to the 20th Century in a very nice way - warm welcome and a lovely buz in all the rooms of this little gem

New Years Resolution for 2026 is to make more use of the weekends and have at least 1 mini adventure last week was a tootle around Macclesfield, this week it’s an early bus to Biddulph and walk along the old railway to Congleton drink may be taken on the way
Today I will be mainly having a poke around Silk/Treacle town aka Macc-already found the Cock in the Treacle-secured pork pies from the wonderful Carters still hanging on and had the front snug in the Castle to myself -now enjoying some chilled vibes in the Bollington Brewery Tap
