"Puso has been actually more impressive than Mbokazi, the reason is why? Mbokazi, we knew what he'd be like and he's exactly that, a top, top defender."
Chicago Fire head coach Gregg Berhalter has explained why winger Puso Dithejane has impressed him more than Mbekezeli Mbokazi since their arrival at the club.

@Velile_Mnyandu@BafanaBafana We're not winning AFCON anytime soon. This old man can't compete against serious footballing nations, that's why he plays most of his friendlies against weak teams to boost his win rate. He was lucky to get a bronze with just two wins in his 1st AFCON.
🚨🇿🇦🇧🇪 A one year extension on the cards for coach Hugo Broos to continue with @BafanaBafana until after 2027 AFCON.
🔸Teko Modise feels it’s a good move for continuity.
🔸The Technical Committee was already advanced with its search for a successor.
🔸Broos returns to SA this week.

Khan explains why Pitso is not his choice for Bafana job
Former Safa technical advisor Farouk Khan believes Pitso Mosimane has earned his place among Africa's greatest coaches, but says he is not the right candidate to succeed Hugo Broos as Bafana Bafana head coach.
The South African Football Association (Safa) is searching for a new coach following Broos' successful five-year spell in charge of the national team.
While Khan praised Mosimane's achievements in club football across the continent, he feels the Bafana job requires someone with extensive international coaching experience. "I think coach Pitso has proven beyond doubt that he is a top coach, and he has done exceptionally well in African club football," Khan said. "But you must remember that when Hugo Broos came in, he already had sufficient experience at international level. As much as Pitso is a great coach, he has not had much experience in international football. His previous stint with Bafana was a short one."
Khan added that appointing a coach without a strong international background would be a risk South Africa should avoid. "He is an excellent man-manager, but you have to ask yourself whether we should take a gamble on someone who lacks extensive international experience. This position requires a coach with international pedigree. Building a national team is not about giving someone the opportunity to learn on the job."
Although he admitted to being a long-time admirer of Mosimane, Khan believes Safa should follow the blueprint that worked under Broos. "As much as I am a fan of Pitso, I believe if we have options, we should appoint someone with international pedigree, just as we did with Broos. Before Broos, we had several coaches in short spells and we did not achieve much. We should learn from the success we had under him," Khan concluded.
🚨🚨| If Kylian Mbappé wins the 2026 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot, he will become the 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 player to win the:
→LaLiga Golden Boot
→UEFA Champions League Golden Boot
→FIFA World Cup Golden Boot
All in the same season. 🐐🇫🇷
@chimaobi_saint When it doesn’t suite your agenda for your fav, y’all come up with this dumb excuse. I didn’t see anyone complaining about it before until it affects their fav winning a Golden boot. Suck it up, Kylian is the Golden boot winner
🚨 Zlatan Ibrahimović:
🗣️ "Third-place playoff goals shouldn't be included in World Cup statistics."
🗣️ "It's unfair on players who reach the final. Someone can miss out on the Golden Boot simply because another player had an extra game to score in the third-place match."
Do you agree with Zlatan, or should every World Cup match count equally? 🤔
🚨 Mbappé Calls for FIFA to Scrap the World Cup Third-Place Playoff
🗣️Kylian Mbappé: "I'll be honest, I don't think the World Cup third-place match makes any sense. Once you've missed out on the final, your dream of lifting the trophy is over. Asking players to return a few days later to fight for third place doesn't change that disappointment.
🗣️For me, the World Cup should be about winning it or finishing as runners-up. Third place has no real outcome. Personally, I don't feel it's worth spending our energy on a match that doesn't decide the champions.
🗣️We're all disappointed not to have beaten Spain. Our focus is already on improving and coming back stronger at the next World Cup, not on a third-place game.
🗣️I also believe England aren't excited about playing it either after everything they've gone through. FIFA should seriously consider scrapping the third-place playoff because I don't think it benefits the players or the competition.
