@SenSanders Maybe, just maybe when you literally allowed more than a million children to enter the country illegally within a 4 year period, children who enter in poverty, that affects those figures youโre so concerned about.
@jeremyct Plus- the average 30-year mortgage in 1980 was 13.7% compared with 6.75% today. So it is actually much cheaper today to buy a home of the same size as in 1980.
@jeremyct Itโs a 6.5X increase, not 9. And you left out a crucial fact: A new home built today is roughly 40% larger than a new home built in 1980 (2,400 sq ft vs 1,740 sq ft). If you bought the equivalent sized home today, after adjusting for inflation, you are only about 20% higher.
@MetamateDaz The expensive housing claim is false. The reports making this claim compare the price of homes for first time buyers. However, they fail to mention home size, which was 1100 sq ft in the 80s, but is 1700 sq ft now. Thatโs 60% more home, so yes 60% higher price.
@FelicityRusnak@JaredRyanSears The social agreement on Medicare and SS has always been I pay in when Iโm younger and then I get access to that money at retirement. Itโs really my money- the government took it to use while I was aging.
@YourAnonNews If you think even 30% of that money will make it into peopleโs hands, you are so far from reality it boggles the mind. 70% of it is grift for the politicians- especially Sanders who owns three homes worth more than $2 million. He used to say tax the millionaires, now he is one.
@lilsonny_@FVsomething@InnocentTr4769@jeremyct What he says is the truth for 90% of our generation speaks volumes. In the US more than 80% of millionaires inherited zero from their parents. They worked hard and never expected anyone to give them anything. We would have been insulted to ask our parents for their money.
@jeremyct Heard a guy say, โI was single, had money, girls, all kinds of adventures & thought Iโd found the cheat code to happiness. Then it occurred to me- I was playing at the low stakes table. There was a bigger game to be played. Got married, had kids & discovered a deeper happiness.โ
@bluebirdpoopies@SenSanders Bezos literally started a company that employs 1.5 million people, but yes, he doesnโt care about jobs. And how many jobs have you created? ๐
@Yotsublast@Hansangb@jeremyct Never owned a new car until my 40s. Always bought something a friend or family member was getting rid of and then learned to fix it up and keep it going. Drove it until it died and then rinse and repeat.
@BernieSanders Trump came up with the idea for his cryptocurrency, promoted and launched it BEFORE he was sworn is as President for the second time. Bernie as usual is envious of anyone who makes more than his silly millionaire self. ๐
@eurofounder Hereโs our dirty little secret in the US- just ignore the bills. You literally donโt have to pay, and the most that will happen is they will send you letters or voice mails. Seriously- the government pays hospitals to cover most of their unpaid bills. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
